Outbound flight: Rome Fiumicino at 06:10 arriving in Rovaniemi at 16:20.
Return flight: Rovaniemi at 17:10 arriving in Rome Fiumicino at 23:10.
The base of the holiday will be Ruka – Kuusamo, the program will be complete with activities (huskies, snowmobiles, ice lake fishing and excursion to Riisitunturi National Park, Oulanka National Park, Myllykoski mill), plus a visit to Santa Claus Village and Hotel and ice restaurant in Rovaniemi.
December 29th 2024 (First day) ARRIVAL
1. From your arrival at Rovaniemi airport, there will be guides waiting for you. Alfredo, an Italian, and his Finnish wife Tuulia, both speak perfect Italian, English and Finnish. With private vehicles they will come to pick you up and will use them for the entire holiday until the end of the activity.
2. After arriving in Rovaniemi, once you have loaded your luggage we will leave for your cabin in Ruka, along the way we will stop for a quick stop at some supermarket to do some shopping, which will be repeated every day at the end of the activity.
3. Once you arrive in Ruka we will explain the basic and important things to let you enjoy your first evening with one of the undisputed protagonists of the holiday right away. Her majesty the CABIN. In the meantime, always keep your eyes on the sky and tuned in with me, because every moment is a good one to see the Northern Lights in the sky. The cabins are super equipped and independent, immersed in the forest a few km from the center, with a large living room, bedroom, equipped kitchen, fireplace and sauna and many useful accessories for your holiday, in an optimal position to see the Aurora even independently.
4. Breakfasts and dinners are all done independently, some lunches are included in the excursions, others independently in the places where the activity will be done, such as Santa Claus Village.
5. The use of a cottage is usually a minimum of 2 people. Some cottages can also accommodate 8/10 people.
December 30, 2024 (Second day) FREE DAY
Ruka. Day of freedom.
1. We have chosen to leave the whole day free for the second day, to recover the energy of the trip, whoever wants can stay in Ruka all day relaxing in the cabin, lighting the fireplace and having fun in total autonomy.
December 31, 2024 (third day) visit to the husky safari + mini excursion to the Oulanka Myllykoski National Park. Husky safari plus sled and visit to the Myllykoski mill.
Ruka.
1. On the third day of vacation we will pick you up at your cabins at the scheduled time, we will go to visit one of the most photographed places in Lapland. At the Oulanka National Park to visit the Myllykoski Mill, a unique and rare place so much its uncontested beauty.
2. After the excursion in the Park, we will go to the local safari, where our husky friends will be. Where we will learn about the way of life of the Lappish husky shepherds, how these fantastic animals of the Great Lappish North are raised.
3. Arrived at the husky garden, where the dogs are already barking excitedly waiting to leave. At the beginning, the professional guide will give you safety and driving instructions, we will always be with you in case of need, then he will take you to the starting point, where the dogs and sleds will be ready. One of you will be the driver and the other will sit in the sled. It is possible to change drivers during the trip. The journey can begin! You will pass through the winter forest, where snow-covered trees and quiet swamps whizz past you, while impatient dogs run in front of your sled. Along the way there is also time to admire beautiful and varied landscapes to enjoy with your family
4. The duration of the ride is about 30 min. After the ride, we will meet the dogs of your sled, to pet them and thank them for the emotions experienced. At the end we will enjoy next to the fire in the typical Finnish house, some typical Finnish delicacies and black coffee. Oh, what a memorable day!
5. After the activity with the huskies we will all return to the hut to relax for a well-deserved rest.

January 1, 2025 (Fourth day) Riisitunturi National Park
Ruka excursion to RIISITUNTURI National Park
1. On the fourth day, as usual, we will pick you up, then we will head for the most desired and heartfelt tourist activity, an excursion to the magnificent Riisitunturi National Park, a destination sought after by all. The journey by car will last approximately 35/40 minutes.
2. With your expert guides, you will be given instructions to best experience the excursion in safety. Once you set off, you will explore one of the most important national parks in all of Scandinavia and Europe. It will be an unforgettable day, in one of the most beautiful areas of Finnish Lapland. The excursion will be accompanied by 2 guides, one of whom is a Finnish professional in mindfulness (meditation) and life coach, who will make you live a dream within a daydream, explaining every secret of the Park and Finnish culture, the other Italian guide is an expert in excursions with over 25 years of experience.
3. The route we will travel will be a 4.3 km ring on the Riisitunturi hill, initially there will be a slight climb the rest on the plain. At a point of the excursion we will reach a magnificent characteristic place, to be able to light a nice fire and take a break. After the break we will walk towards the cars with a pleasant digestive descent and moments of mindfulness.
During the route we will pass through areas of the magnificent Finnish taiga, until we reach a certain point where the trees begin to look like big and big snow giants. The famous Great Giants of the Great North protectors of this paradise.
4. At the end of the excursion, a trip to the supermarket and return to the Baita.

January 2, 2025 (Fifth day) SNOWMOBILE ACTIVITY 30 km
Ruka motorbike safari with professional guides. (Bring your driving licenses with you)
1. We have arrived at the fifth day, as always you will be picked up by the minibus and we will transfer to the safaris for the legendary motorbike ride. Once at the safari, there will be a driving license check, after which you will be given overalls, helmets, gloves, balaclavas to start the snowmobile ride.
2. This activity will be an unforgettable adventure, where you will cross unique winter landscapes of the beautiful Finnish taiga, driving one of the most characteristic vehicles of the Great Lappish North.
3. Before starting, the professional guide will give you all the safety instructions, to best experience your adventure with maximum fun. As always, we Italian guides will always be there as shadows to follow if you need it.
4. Only adults can drive, 2 people per snowmobile, including 1 guide, and halfway through the route, for those who want, you can change guides.
5. Children under 140cm tall will be obligatorily towed in a special sled carried by professional guides.
6. The route will be 30 km long, lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes. At the end of the activity, visit to Ruka center and then return to the Baita.
7. In the evening, always paying attention if there is a chance of Northern Lights, evening excursions can be organized

January 3, 2025 (sixth day) FREE DAY
Ruka. Day of freedom.
1. Those who want can stay in Ruka all day relaxing in the cabin, lighting the fireplace and having fun in total autonomy.
2. For those who want to organize something, there are extra activities outside the program, which can be organized together with us. Such as excursions such as the Korouoma waterfalls, snowshoeing, relaxing massages, personalized mindfulness sessions, mental coach etc … etc ….
3. Everything must be agreed with the companion in advance to organize everything.
January 4, 2025 (seventh day) ICE LAKE FISHING
Kuusamo
1. Seventh day you will be picked up by private vehicles and we will reach a heavenly place where you can fish on the frozen lake. You will have all the necessary equipment for fishing. Once you have received the directions you will try to catch some fish while also enjoying the beautiful surrounding panorama, with a stunning nature with few equals in the world.
2. You will bring your own packed lunch, with a drink preferably hot. Once the activity is over we will return to the Baita to enjoy a well-deserved evening of relaxation with the fireplace lit and the sauna to make us experience incredible moments.
3. In the evening, always being careful if there is a chance of Northern Lights, evening excursions can be organized

January 5, 2025 (eighth and last day)
Ruka. Last day of the holiday.
Rovaniemi Santa Claus Village and Ice Hotel/Restaurant
1. Taking advantage of the fact that your return flight is in the evening, in the morning you leave the Cabin in order and leave for Rovaniemi.
2. After about 2 hours and 30 minutes of travel, we will reach Rovaniemi and visit the wonderful Ice Restaurant/Hotel and Santa Claus Village to take a tour and take photos with the legendary, unique and inimitable real Santa Claus.
3. Once in Rovaniemi, in each place we will visit you will receive all the instructions on what to see. In the village there is Santa Claus’ post office, wander around the shops and have lunch. Where we will stay until late afternoon to enjoy the whole day to the fullest.
4. In the late afternoon we will head to the nearby Rovaniemi airport, about 5 minutes from Santa Claus Village, where you will complete the boarding procedures and take the return flight to Italy scheduled for 21:25.
It will be an unforgettable holiday, with your bags full of emotions, joys and unforgettable memories.
