We recommend the nearby airports of Kuusamo or Rovaniemi.
Outbound flight: Milan Malpensa at 12:25 arriving in Rovaniemi at 17:20 (Direct).
Return flight: Rovaniemi at 18:05 arriving in Milan Malpensa at 21:00 (Direct). Base flight price €212 per person.
The base of the holiday will be Ruka – Kuusamo, the program will include transport from the airport to the cabin and for the entire duration of the program. Also activities (husky, snowmobiles, ice lake fishing), excursions to Riisitunturi National Park, Korouoma National Park, Oulanka Myllykoski National Park, Northern Lights excursions in the evening in case of solar activity, plus a trip to Santa Claus Village and a visit to the ice hotel restaurant in Rovaniemi. The program has chosen 1 day of freedom to be able to enjoy the cabin and the surrounding nature independently.

11.01.2025 (First day) ARRIVAL
1. From your arrival at Rovaniemi airport, the guides will be waiting for you. Alfredo, an Italian, and his Finnish wife Tuulia, both speak perfect Italian, English and Finnish. They will come to pick you up with private vehicles and will use them for the entire holiday until the end of the activity.
2. After arriving in Rovaniemi, once you have loaded your luggage, we will leave for your cabin in Ruka. During the journey, we will stop for a quick stop at some supermarket to do some shopping, which will be repeated every day at the end of the activity.
3. Once you arrive in Ruka, we will explain the basic and important things to let you enjoy your first evening with one of the undisputed protagonists of the holiday right away. Her majesty the CABIN. In the meantime, always keep your eyes on the sky and tuned in with me, because every moment is a good one to see the Northern Lights in the sky. The Baite are usually super equipped and independent immersed in the forest a few km from the center, with a large living room, bedroom, equipped kitchen, fireplace and sauna and many useful accessories for your vacation, in an optimal position to see the Aurora even independently.
4. Breakfasts and dinners are all made independently, some lunches are included in the excursions, others independently in the places where the activity will be done, such as Santa Claus Village.
5. The use of a cottage is usually minimum for at least 2 people. Some cottages can also accommodate 8/10 people.

12.01.2025 (second day) visit to the husky safari + mini excursion to the Oulanka Myllykoski National Park.
Ruka.

1. On the second day of vacation we will pick you up from your cabins, at the agreed time and go on a local safari, where our husky friends will be present. Where you will learn about the way of life of the Lappish husky shepherds, how these fantastic animals of the Great Lappish North are raised.
2. Arrived at the husky garden, where the dogs are already barking excitedly waiting to leave. Initially the professional guide will give you safety and driving instructions, we will always follow you in case of need, after which he will take you to the starting point, where the dogs and sleds will be ready. One of you will be the driver and the other will sit in the sled. It is possible to change drivers during the trip. The journey can begin! You will ride through the winter forest, where snow-covered trees and quiet swamps whizz past you, while impatient dogs run in front of your sled. Along the way there is also time to admire beautiful and varied landscapes to enjoy with your family
3. The duration of the ride is about 30 min. After the ride, we will meet the dogs of your sled, to pet them and thank them for the emotions experienced. At the end we enjoy the homemade snack bag, black coffee by the fire in the typical Finnish house. Oh, what a memorable day!
4. But it does not end here. After lunch a pleasant surprise for you, taking into account the start and end time of the activity with the huskies, you will go to one of the most photographed places in Lapland. To the Oulanka National Park to visit the Myllykoski Mill, a place more unique than rare so much its uncontested beauty. We could also anticipate the surprise before the huskies, we will see this on site.
5. Once the huskies and the mill are done, we will go to the supermarket if necessary, after which we will all go to the hut to relax for a well-deserved rest.

13.01.2025 (Third day) Korouoma Falls National Park.
Posio. KOROUOMA FALLS
The Korouoma ice falls in Posio Park, you will walk along the Canyon trail to see the ice falls.
1. We will pick you up from your huts after a hearty breakfast and leave in the direction of Posio, after about 1 hour, we will arrive at the parking lot, leave the cars and begin the route of about 4.5km. Along the way there will be points to cross with attention and caution, and having with you the mandatory nailed insoles to attach under the trekking boots. It requires a minimum of experience for trekking routes. Along the way we will always be there to explain the various climbing and descending techniques of the route, all in maximum safety.
2. In the park you will see immense ice falls, which form with the rigid temperatures of extreme cold in the winter period. The park offers unique features that are only visible on this route, with the possibility of seeing animals such as reindeer, rabbits, foxes, squirrels, lynxes, otters, moose.
3. Almost at the end of the route there will be a stop in the equipped area, where you can light a fire and eat your own snack. The snack must be light, like chocolate or a sandwich, because the last stretch will be a steep climb that is a bit challenging, medium level, but doable…
4. Once back at the cars, you will return to the Baita, along the way you will stop at a place I know to eat independently and to do some shopping if necessary.
5. Once you arrive in Ruka, everyone is free for a well-deserved relaxation with a sauna, or dinner in front of the path.

14.01.2025 (Fourth day) SNOWMOBILE ACTIVITY 30 km
Ruka motorbike safari with professional guides.
1. We have arrived at the fourth day, as always you will be picked up by private vehicles and we will transfer to the safaris for the legendary motorbike ride. Once at the safari, there will be a check of driving licenses, after which you will be given overalls, helmets, gloves, balaclavas to start the snowmobile ride.
2. This activity will be an unforgettable adventure, where you will cross unique winter landscapes of the beautiful Finnish taiga, driving one of the most characteristic vehicles of the Great Lappish North.
3. Before starting, the professional guide will give you all the safety instructions, to best experience your adventure with maximum fun. As always, we Italian guides will always be there as shadows to follow if you need it.
4. Only adults can drive, 2 people per snowmobile, including 1 guide, and halfway through the route, for those who want, you can change guides.
5. Children under 140cm tall will be obligatorily towed in a special sled carried by professional guides.
6. The route will be 30 km long, lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes. At the end of the activity, visit to Ruka center and then return to the Baita.
7. In the evening, always paying attention if there is a chance of Northern Lights, evening excursions can be organized

15.01.2025 (Fifth day) Riisitunturi National Park
Ruka excursion to RIISITUNTURI National Park

1. On the fifth day, as usual, we will pick you up, then we will head for the most desired and heartfelt tourist activity, an excursion to the magnificent Riisitunturi National Park, a destination sought after by all. The journey by car takes about 35/40 minutes.
2. With your expert guides, you will be given instructions to best experience the excursion in safety. Once you set off, you will explore one of the most important national parks in all of Scandinavia and Europe. It will be an unforgettable day, in one of the most beautiful areas of Finnish Lapland. The excursion will be accompanied by 2 guides, one of which is a Finnish professional in mindfulness (meditation) and life coach, who will make you live a dream within a daydream, explaining every secret of the Park and Finnish culture, another Italian guide expert in excursions with over 25 years of experience in Finland and around the world.
3. The route we will travel will be a 4.3 km ring on the Riisitunturi hill, initially there will be a slight climb the rest on the plain. At a point of the excursion we will reach a magnificent characteristic place, to be able to light a nice fire and take a break. After the break we will walk towards the cars with a pleasant descent. During the route we will pass through areas of the magnificent Finnish taiga, until we reach a certain point where the trees begin to look like big and big snow giants. The famous Great Giants of the Great North protectors of this paradise.
4. At the end of the excursion, a trip to the supermarket and return to the Baita.

16.01.2025 (sixth day) ICE LAKE FISHING
Kuusamo
1. Sixth day you will be picked up by private vehicles and we will reach a heavenly place where you can fish on the frozen lake. You will have all the necessary equipment for fishing. Once you have received the directions you will try to catch some fish while also enjoying the beautiful surrounding panorama, with a stunning nature with few equals in the world.
2. You will bring your own packed lunch, with a drink. Once the activity is over we will return to the Baita to enjoy a well-deserved evening of relaxation with the fireplace on and the sauna to make us experience incredible moments.
3. In the evening, always being careful if there is a chance of Northern Lights, evening excursions can be organized.
4. Duration 4-5 hours

17.01.2025 (seventh day) FREE DAY
Ruka. Day of freedom.

1. Those who want can stay in Ruka all day relaxing in the cabin, lighting the fireplace and having fun in total autonomy.
2. For those who want to organize something, there are extra activities outside the program, which can be organized together with us. Such as excursions, snowshoeing, relaxing massages, personalized mindfulness sessions, mental coach etc…etc…
3. Or repeat some tours with huskies, snowmobiles.
4. Everything must be agreed with the guide in advance to organize everything.

18.01.2025 (eighth and last day)

Ruka. Last day of the holiday.
Rovaniemi Santa Claus Village and Ice Hotel/Restaurant
1. Taking advantage of the fact that your return flight is in the evening, early in the morning you leave the cabin in order and leave for Rovaniemi.
2. After about 2 hours and 30 minutes of travel, we will reach Rovaniemi and visit the wonderful Ice Restaurant/Hotel and Santa Claus Village to take a tour and take photos with the legendary, unique and inimitable real Santa Claus.
3. Once in Rovaniemi, in each place we will visit you will receive all the instructions on what to see. In the village there is Santa Claus’ post office, go around the shops and have lunch. Where we will stay until late afternoon to enjoy the whole day to the fullest.
4. Towards the late afternoon we will head towards the nearby Rovaniemi airport about 5 minutes from Santa Claus Village, where you will do the boarding procedures and take the return flight to Italy scheduled for…
